Dr Anju Jairath

Dr A Jairath graduated from Leeds in 1992 and joined Allestree Dental Practice in 2001
with her husband Den.

She likes to be called Anju by her patients.

Anju has completed several postgraduate courses over the years mainly in Aesthetic
and Restorative dentistry. Anju enjoys attending courses on a regular basis to ensure
she is up to date with current techniques and trends. She enjoys all aspects general
dentistry and has a particular interest in composites and minimally invasive cosmetic
dentistry.

Anju has a certificate in dental hypnosis from University of Sheffield. She works particularly
well with nervous patients and children having a relaxed and friendly manner in the
surgery. Regular attendance with the same dentist produces happy confident patients in
the chair. Having been established at Allestree practice for over 20 years Anju has
developed a loyal group of patients and seen children become adults.

‘Making people smile and building rapport is the best part of my job’

Anju has been busy raising three children : 2 boys and a girl. The eldest two are now
grown up: one is working and the other is studying at university.

In her spare time Anju enjoys the gym, yoga, walking, cooking, travelling, cinema, quality
family time and the sea!

If she hadn’t become a dentist Anju would have loved a career in travel.
